Financial Aid: Special Circumstances

To be considered for federal student financial aid, you must provide specified personal demographic and financial information on the FAFSA. After completing your FAFSA, you may experience changed financial or household circumstances. If your changes can impact the resulting calculation of your FAFSA data, or can impact your cost of attendance, your college may make adjustments. Additionally, your college may need to help with the proper processing of your FAFSA if you are unable to provide parental information on your application. During this session we will discuss the different types of special circumstances, the types of documentation that may be required and how to work with your college on the special circumstance process.
